The title of this thread is what this rant is about.I feel very very strongly about Nephlite's farewell episode.It angers me greatly.Now,don't get me wrong,there's some strong points about it,like when Nephlite beats up the Plant Sisters.(go Nephlite,beat them down!oops.*snaps out of it*).That was the only scene that was worth watching over and over.What annoyed me about this episode?I'm glad you asked.
1.The fatal attack scene-Now,Nephlite displayed a noble act when he took the brunt of the blow that was meant for Molly,but I just gotta say this:WHAT THE HELL WAS HE THINKING?! He really shouldn't have done that.He's far too powerful to let those wretched Plant Sisters defeat him.He could have taken them out AND save Molly at the same time.I don't know if he thought the Plant Sisters weren't worth dealing with,but if he felt that way,he should have just taken out his star sword and cut them into pieces with it.And those thorns...ahh,that had to hurt like hell*grimace*
2.Death Scene:Now this was just stupid.I can't believe Molly would wait until Nephlite breathing his dying breath to think about saving him.Why didn't she do it while the senshi were fighting the Plant Sisters?I was like,"News flash Molly,calling his name over and over won't save him.If you want to save him so badly,get those thorns out for crying out loud,and give him energy if he needs it!
Oh well,at least there are lots of fanfics that answer my questions about this eppy,so it's not like I really care anymore.
Want to give a few comments?Feel free to.But remember,no flames,please.(Don't flame me,I mean)

I'm wondering the same things myself...sounds like poor planning in the storyline(the same thing that "Final Fantasy: Dirge of Cerberus" suffers from,sadly). I personally think the story of Neflite and Molly could of been written much better than that. And what's with everyone standing around watching Neflite die?If I were Neflite,I'd be pretty annoyed that everyone is standing around watching me die instead of pulling those thorns out of my body.

LOL,I agree completely.Not to mention that I can't stand seeing him in such pain.*cringe*The writers were probably afraid that it would take the story to a different tangent...which is understandable,but still.My make up characters Miki,Yukari and Ruby(Nephlite's
female henchmen)would not have let him die,that's for sure.Pulling out those thorns would hurt like hell,but in the end it'll be worth it.

Hmmm,I think I'm gonna have to make a part 2 for this rant,because there are a few other things that ticked me off.Warning:This might get a bit rampant.Here goes:
3.Rescue scene:All right,this is actually one of the few favorite scenes that I have in this episode,but I have a peeve with this scene as well.It looked like Nephlite was going to kill Gureapu and then he spared her.What was up with that?!What was he thinking sparing her?!If he wanted to spare someone,
he should have spared Suzuran,since she only has a defensive attack.Tsk,Tsk,that was stupid of him.(This coming from someone who absolutely LOVES Nephlite.)I was like,kill them off,dagnabbit!
4.After the rescue scene/before fatal attack:All right,I have to admit that it was hilarious when Molly asked Nephlite if he had holidays in the Dark Kingdom and he burst out laughing.(LOL)But if she was going to tend to that gash on his arm,then she shouldn't have gone to a place where any of those 3 fools would decide to pull something.I wasn't too displeased about the wound on Nephlite's arm,by the way,except to say that it messed up his nice jacket and shirt.
5.Nephlite's second scene:There's not much I would say about this except,Molly should have told him to come in.

I was just watching this episode in Japanese on youtube today and one thing I hate about it was the fact that they gave away what happens in the title!! "Naru Cries in the Morning, Nephrite dies for Love". Gaahhhhh if you were watching it for the first time, then the ending was completely ruined. Then there is the actual death scene. How come Nephrite allowed Naru to just drag him into a park. Nephy isn't stupid and usually plans things out. Umm they had three crazy sisters following them!! If I were Nephrite I would have taken Naru somewhere else or insisted on going to the mansion. SOMEWHERE NOT IN THE OPEN like a park.
Then when they are sitting under the tree you actually are led to believe something will come of their relationship. Happy music is playing in the background. Really happy music. I think it was a variation on the ending theme song , "Heart Moving." Everytime I see this scene it gives me false hope. Then there is the fact that the Sailor Senshi get there one second too late. They are just in time to defeat the three sisters and watch Nephrite disappear.
I was also angry at the fact Naru seems to just forget Nephrite after Umino saves her. I wouldn't have given Umino that piece of cloth with Nephrite's blood on it.

I do believe that if those thorns were pulled out, maybe he could have lived. Sure he was all bloody, but it didn't seem as bad as the life sucking thorns...waaaa...*breaks something* this bothers me so much...thank goodness for fanfiction. At least it's some type of closure.

What annoys me about his final episode...
- of course him dying...that's too sad...he should have lived
- Sailor Moon couldn't get there in time to stop the youma from helping Molly to get the thrones out
- The scouts not trying to pull the thrones out even after the youma were gone
- the conversation between Molly and Neph could have been better and more relaxing before the fatal attack
- could have shown Neph cutting the ropes holding Molly prisoner in the abandoned bar
