Mine are AUs. I do not like Alternate Universe where the characters are rewritten with a whole new background and story.
Example: Queen Beryl being a school prinicple and the Generals being teachers to the scouts
I will only read and write stories based on canon traits. The scouts have to be scouts and Beryl and other enemies must remain enemies. Now it's ok, if the enemy turns good but they must start out as an enemy and turn good later.
When you make the enemies turn good after they are evil that's AR - Alternate Reality

Also forgot to mention I'm not fond of - self-insertions - live actors in fanfiction stories - dead celebs are ok - plot-less sex - non-canon homosexuals

I feel that if one is going to completely rewrite the characters and setting, he or she might as well write original fiction. Any serious fic should be done right. But that aside, I can't really bring myself to hate a particular genre by itself, as I think it depends on whether the author remain within or cross the set boundaries or not..as long as the fic is fairly close to the fandom and is fun to read, I can read them.
However, I am annoyed by serious fics that look like they were written by people who hate the charries, or at least didn't take the time to watch the show and get a good understanding of it. I also despise the hate-fics..especially if they directly insult the fans. I'm not fond of non-canon yaoi/yuri and lemon fics that describe the sex too indepthly, either. Especially if what the characters are doing is wildly OOC.

Here's my list:
-Sailor Moon betrayal fics(where Luna/Artemis/Darien/Rini/the Sailor Senshi all gang up on Serena and betray her)
-Fics that have characters OOC with NO explanation as to WHY the characters are OOC
-Sailor Moon dub-bashing fics
-Overused cliches in fics(drinking,abusive males,rape,teen pregnancy,etc)
-K rated(G-rated) fics that have adult situations, drinking and swear words in them
-Crossovers that have been done to death(Sailor Moon/Dragonball Universe,Sailor Moon/Harry Potter)
-Crossovers that are just 2 or more of the author's favourite fandoms slapped together, thus making a fic that is a boring chore to read(CATS/Garfield,Sailor Moon/Ranma One-Half,SAilor Moon/live action Sabrina, etc). The authors don't even bother to make the fandoms blend in together.
-Molly/Neflite romance fics
-Songfics.These are so annoying!
-Fics where Haruka and Michiru have a fight/divorce eachother/go straight to date or marry men
-Non canon same sex pairings
-Adults/children falling in love with eachother/lusting for eachother/"doing it" with eachother

A Story that ends with the main character dieing.
One shots, I hate those. There too short.
Stories with chapters being short.
A Story written like a RPG. Like This:
Name: (Text)
*Agrees with One Eyed* I hate Song Fics.
Poem fics.
Orignal Stories from Scratch. I hate those unless I'm the one writing them.

I think I agree with everything that's been said and one other thing: Pairings that are totally unlikely (such as Seiya/Michiru, Seiya/Mamoru)
Script-like fics: Now I don't mind these, but I don't partically like reading them because they are just that-scripts. They don't have detail or action, which makes it difficult to read and kind of boring.
Mixing of English and Japanese names

Mixing of English and Japanese names There's really nothing wrong with mixing Japanese and English names as long as one uses common sense in doing so. Like if you constantly switched back and forth from Michelle and Michiru or Darein and Mamaru, then that ruins the fic for everyone. If one wants to use both Japanese and English names, then one must stick with the names they've chosen to use. Like If I chose to use Serena and Haruka, then I would have to stick wityh Serena and Haruka during the whole fic. It also helps a lot if one puts an author's note telling people " I use the names I like the best from both the English and Japanese versions". That's what I do. If I see fic that uses both Japanese and English names,it has to contain an author's note stating they use the names they like from both versions.Otherwise,I won't read it.

*Agrees* I used to use Uranus, Nepture and Pluto's japanese names all the time with everyone else's names being english cause I didn't know what there english names were.
