I'm going with choice # 3....I like both versions now.Believe it or not, the Japanese name used to irritate me, even though I tolerated it...I wasn't used to it at all. Now, I use the Japanese name if I wanna add an honorific.

Nephrite the best. It has some type of meaning. But either way he still has that adorible nick name, "Nephy."

And for the record his English name can be spelled as Neflyte, Neflite, Nephlite, Nephyte.
Though either Neflyte or Neflite is the way his name is actually spelled in the credits
